Real Madrid close in on Brahim Díaz extension as Courtois set to follow

25-year-old Brahim Díaz has proven to be a reliable option both in central areas and out wide, operating as an attacking midfielder and right winger. A member of the Morocco national team, Díaz made 52 official appearances for Real Madrid in the 2024/25 season. He scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists, gaining the trust of the coaching staff particularly in the second half of the season.

In the 2024/25 campaign, Courtois featured in 47 matches across all competitions, registering 15 clean sheets and conceding 55 goals — a testament to his enduring quality.

Signed from Chelsea in the summer of 2018, the experienced shot-stopper has played 282 matches for Real Madrid to date, keeping 111 clean sheets. Although his current contract expires in 2026, the club are determined to include Courtois in their long-term planning.
